FAQs

How do I get there?

St Leonard’s Warrior Square station is just a couple of minutes walk away. South Eastern and Southern trains arrive from several mainline London stations, from Kent stations and along the coast from Brighton and Rye. You can also stay with us if you are going to - or returning from - the Eurostar as we’re on the Ashford International route too.

There are several bus routes if you’re arriving from Hastings, Bexhill, Eastbourne, Rye and Battle or any other local towns - get off at London Road.

Please don’t bring a car! There is a public car park on the sea front but there’s no parking around us.

How do I book?

Please use the booking form to book your stay. If you have any questions, please contact us.

How do I pay?

Your credit card details will be taken at the time of booking. Payment needs to be made in full at the time of booking. We do not issue refunds unless it is an emergency.

Who stays at Pod Central?

Visitors, tourists, business people, solo parents with children over 12, families with children over 12 - anyone who wants to stay in a pod!

Each pod sleeps one adult. It’s a cool stay for children too, but not for babies or toddlers! Children must be 12 years and over.

How do I get my access code?

You’ll get a text from us with your unique code 24 hours before you’re going to arrive. We ask that you text back to say you’ve got your code. Then you can get into Pod Central.

Each pod has a number, so we’ll let you know your pod number too.

Is there a check-in/check-out time?

Please check in from 3pm - 6pm.

Check outs are up to 11am.

What’s in my pod?

We have quality bedding in our 16 pods - a sheet, a quilt and two pillows. There’s a headrest and a foot rest, a reading light, an illuminated mirror, air fan, tablet/laptop shelf, earplugs, plug sockets, usb ports, free wifi. There’s an inside lock.

What is there to do in the area?

Check out our pages - or take a look at Visit 1066 Country - the official website for tourism and travel information.

You can also pop into the Hastings Tourist Information Centre at Muriel Matters House, Hastings TN34 3UY.

What are the bathroom facilities?

We have three separate shower rooms which are shared by our #podders. Each shower room has a sink, a shower cubicle, a hairdryer and a heated wall mirror. Towels are complimentary. We have three loos - one in each bathroom.

What else is there at Pod Central?

Apart from the pods, the shower rooms, the water filter, the lockers, there’s nothing! We’re a no frills accommodation solution not a hotel or a b&b so there’s no seating, kitchen or anything else!

You won’t want to stay in as there’s loads to do!

Where can I leave my bag?

You can leave your bag in one of our lockers.

Lockers are numbered 1-16, the same as the pods so please use the same locker number as the number of your pod.

We hope the FAQs cover most questions people ask us! If you think that anything’s missing after you’ve stayed with us please email your feedback. Thanks!
