It all begins with an idea.
Hi, I’m Mia. I’m a St Leonard’s local and with three teenagers I am always looking for great places to stay!
When I read about capsule hotels in Japan and Holland, I thought WOW this would be great for St Leonard’s.
Build it
So I built Pod Central - refurbing an old grocery shop into what you see now! We opened on Monday, 21st June 2021.
It’s something completely new for the area - budget stays for people who need affordable overnight stays.
We’re not like the wonderful East Sussex hotels – we’re ‘no frills’ accommodation.
We’re keeping everything local by using local people, promoting local business and being as eco-friendly as we possibly can.
Grow it

Eco it
Pod Central is a committed energy-saving business.
We’re 5 minutes away from St Leonard’s Warrior Square railway station, close to bus stops and right the middle of local shops, cafes, restaurants, the beach and lots of local entertainment. Please don’t bring a car!
The pods are low energy, there’s underfloor heating, LED lighting, motion sensor lighting, eco flooring, eco paint, eco toiletries, eco cleaning products and recyclable bins.
